From an early age, Laura Bruen was encouraged to own her creative freedom. Having explored many creative avenues throughout her life, Laura began her photography career shooting children, families and professional headshots on the side. Becoming a photographer full time was simply a natural progression.
A passion for painting, Laura enjoys working with oils, acrylics, and mixed media. Her paintings have been sold to private collections throughout New York City. As an accomplished Creative Director for an interactive creative branding firm for 13 years, she won 5 prestigious design awards for her work and directed interactive advertising campaigns and branding solutions for names like Pepsi, Cingular Wireless (now, AT&T) Sony and Pfizer. She also launched a couture handbag line in 2002, called Tapestry New York.
Laura prides herself in imagery that creates timeless and unique artistic expression with an editorial creative edge. She encompasses a pure blend of relaxed portraits, photojournalism & creativity. Whether her sessions include a couple embracing in the sand, a child, eyes wild with delight, a toddler kissing her newborn sister or a family celebrating life, these moments are priceless. Laura captures these moments and creates photographs that will become treasures in your collection.
Primarily an on-location photographer, Laura Lives In an amazing historic 1856 farmhouse in Monmouth County, N.J., that she and her love of 18 years, Jimmy, and her two amazing daughters, Emma and Gwen, reside in. She has a headshot studio located in prestigious Summit, N.J.. Laura Bruen is a headshot photographer for PeachCraft Actor's Studio.
Laura prefers to shoot with natural light when available, and shoots on-location, as well as studio sessions. Her professional affiliations include PPA (Professional photographers of America) and WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International).
