It is with great pride that I finally launch my new website! It's so exciting to have the first phase completed. You'll certainly be seeing some new faces on a more frequent basis here as well as on shoot-scoop.
Having a background in Interactive Creative Direction made my decisions equally hard, and the site took much longer than it should have as I'm very, very picky. I've branded companies large and small throughout my career but branding one's own company is never an easy task, and I'm sure most creatives can attest to that. Top that off with programming the site myself and well - you have one heck of a large project to work on. There are areas that will be changing in the immediate future, for example, the News & Media section (where you are now) will be filling up with interesting content - some streaming video and slideshow examples as well as "Studio News" which range from articles to announcements. The Exhibition Section will be added to on a consistent basis featuring available works for sale.
The v2.0 Lime Espresso redevelopment and design project...
...simply could not have been done without a number of people that I would like to thank. First, my husband, Jimmy, love of my life, pillar of support, and soul mate (stop blushing!), without you, I wouldn't be who I am today. I love you - thank you. My beautiful children, Emma & Gwen, who sacrificed the EXTRA "mommy time" allotment for the last few months while I was nailed down in front of my computer. Emma, thank you for being the love that you are. Gwen, for always managing to send me into hysterical laughter no matter what mood I am in! You are the lights of my life.
My family & friends, for putting up with me during this process and being so supportive and understanding of my need to work, which results in significantly less "Laura" time :=). Love you!
who have generated more buzz than I could've ever expected, thank you. Thank you for inviting me to document these moments of your lives, I am honored. I hope you find some escape when you visit and allow yourself to become submerged in the work. I wanted to create a place that you would enjoy visiting often. Whether you are an internet savvy person or not, I have created two spaces for you. If you'd like some bling, check out the Flash Website. Or, if you'd prefer to keep things simple, check out the HTML Website.
Additional Shout Outs & HUGE kudos to:
Big Country (a.k.a Ed Kelly) thanks for looking at my code and pointing out my blatent actionscript syntax errors that I could not see myself because I was going blind. Thanks for also inspiring me to stop drinking so much coffee (quitting caffeine is not advisable during a web project). Mike Denton, thanks for the code help. I am looking forward to working with you in the future. If you are a designer in need of a programmer, these guys are the juice!!! Contact the studio for their information.
